Job Opening: Senior Account Manager

Position Summary

At Full Spectrum Marketing, the Senior Account Manager is the main point of contact for mid-to-large sized clients. Additionally, the position is responsible for leading the account strategy and project management for their clients, devising marketing / communications plans and campaigns, conducting the project management for all client projects, reviewing reporting, billing, managing day-to-day client requests and needs, and other duties that ensure the success of FSM clients. FSM’s ideal Senior Account Manager must have: 

  • Top-Notch Communications Skills. You’re not just a good writer and speaker, you are good at listening, capturing ideas, presenting, writing creative briefs, etc.
  • Marketing Expertise. You have led campaigns and MarComm efforts either on the client side or the agency side – you have a mastery of the marketing / communications landscape.
  • Passion About Your Craft. You don’t just like marketing or think Facebook is nifty, you live and breath this stuff. It matters to you, because it matters to your clients!

Primary Responsibilities

Marketing Communications Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing objectives and communications strategies and tactics
  • Create strategic account plans to guide client growth revenue and deliver world-class client experience
  • Prepare and present strategies, media plans, and creative concepts at client meetings
  • Drive campaign from strategy to reporting
  • Daily and weekly client interaction; lead client calls and in-person meetings
  • Use analytical skills to understand FSM performance and client challenges
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce effective promotional materials
  • Develop realistic plans, action steps, and timetables for projects and assignments
  • Educate client regarding the timing required for execution and stay informed on progress through project manager
  • Successfully manage multiple demands and competing priorities
  • Track and help prioritize projects, documenting projects via an established traffic report
  • Communicate effectively at both technical and leadership levels
  • Prep for existing and new client pitches
  • Lead project kick-offs
  • Finalize monthly client billing
  • Identify and lead process improvements where needed
  • Write SOW for existing clients

Measure: Effective strategies and tactics, disciplined execution of account plans, meeting all project timelines.

Relationship Development Responsibilities

  • Serves as the single point of contact for clients and outside communications-related suppliers (e.g. printers, media, etc.)
  • Ensure responsive support to all client requests within FSM standard
  • Act as a strategic advisor to your client base by being the “go to” person for strategic account needs
  • Propose additional products and services to expand FSM’s services within existing accounts
  • Become an industry expert on an assigned vertical(s) to better understand each client’s organizational dynamics
  • Identify and proactively develop multi-level relationships with key decision makers to ensure retention and relationship stability
  • Secure and implement long term contract agreements with clients to review and grow revenue
  • Coach and provide direction to teammates and contractors to maximize productivity and teamwork

Measure: Strong client relationships, growth of business year / year (including retention of accounts).

Skill Set

  • Proven experience in managing multiple client relationships, achieving revenue goals, and managing personal sales strategies in a similar environment
  • Effective organization and time management abilities
  • Knowledge of leading-edge advertising, marketing, and technology trends
  • Knowledge and experience in social media, search marketing, and other digital platforms and tools
  • Knowledge in metrics reporting to reflect ROI dashboards
  • Knowledge and experience in sales
  • Demonstrated project management skills with marketing and technology projects
  • Demonstrated critical thinking ability
  • Self-starter who thrives in a rapidly-changing environment
  • Promote knowledge sharing to strengthen staff

  • Develop and deliver effective presentations

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • 5+ years of marketing and communications experience in agency environment (additional experience on the client side is strongly considered)
